Holly & Blake
On the morning of July 20th, the fog began to rise from the deserted streets of Ghost Town. The once prominent mountain theme park that was abandoned for almost a decade, now living up to its name, was brought back to life for one last time to bring a group of family and friends together to join a very special couple in wedded bliss.
The Frontier Church at the end of Main Street transformed into the perfect wedding chapel for the special day of Blake and Holly Ellege, complete with cascades of white, yellow and blue wildflowers adorning the church. As the church bell rang out at High Noon, Holly began to walk down Main Street to the Frontier Church, as Blake patiently awaits at the altar.
Officiating this special day is the legend of Ghost Town in the Sky: The Apache Kid. Robert Bradley (aka The Apache Kid), a close friend of the bride and groom, began working at Ghost Town as a stunt man and performer at the age of fourteen and continued to work there until the day it closed.
Marshall Tim guarded the chapel door with his double barrel shotgun as Holly walked down the aisle and the ceremony began. The couple exchanged their vows and solidified their bond with a kiss as the chapel erupted with applause and cheers.
The happy couple walked off into the sunset to a ‘Cowboy Salute’- the perfect ending to a ‘Wild West Wedding’ at Ghost Town in The Sky.
