Rosa & Andrew
It was November 2019 when Andrew and I first met at a church event that I was attending with my friend. I certainly was not expecting to meet anyone that evening, especially since it was a church I did not attend. Little did I know, my friend had invited Andrew (who is her cousin) to join us. Later I would find out that she was trying to set us up! When I first met Andrew, I thought he was the nicest guy I had ever met. All three of us spent the evening enjoying each other’s company and socializing with friends. At the end of the night, Andrew and I exchanged phone numbers. I felt there was something there, but I didn’t sense that it was the right time yet. Besides, I had just graduated college and real estate school, so I was definitely not interested in dating anyone at the time! Flash forward ten months (and a worldwide pandemic) later, Andrew reaches out to me via Instagram. We start talking and before you know it, we start spending time together. We became best friends. It wasn’t long before we realized our feelings for each other and officially started dating. Last September, we went for a drive up on the parkway. It was a beautiful late afternoon. We stopped at Wolf Mountain Overlook, and he got down on one knee. Of course, I said yes! The rest is history. Our wedding day was everything I could’ve dreamt of, and more.
