Savannah & Benjamin

Ben and Savannah met in 2016 when Ben was staying in Savannah’s hometown for Medical School. Shortly after, the two fell in love, and eventually left the mountains of East Tennessee for the hills of North Carolina.

Ben proposed In May 2020, amidst an unpredictable pandemic. With this in mind, they opted for an intimate, family exclusive wedding week in Historic Wilmington, North Carolina.

Their Coastal Carolina wedding week set sail with a welcome dinner aboard a boat on the Cape Fear River, after which the group gathered at Blockade Runner Resort. The resort hosted both families and many of the week's festivities, including a bridal brunch the morning of the wedding.

The wedding ceremony took place at enchanting and historic Airlie Gardens. Built in the 1800s, the 67-acre property is known for breathtaking views of Spanish Moss-laced oak trees and untouched ecosystems. The couple said their vows overlooking the water at the Pergola Garden. Shortly after the ceremony, they gathered under North Carolina's largest living oak tree, the “Airlie Oak” for their first dance as husband and wife. The group reconvened to Blockade Runner where they ended the evening with a reception in the resort’s tropical seaside gardens.
