Meghan & Catie
While no one could have planned for a worldwide pandemic, there was an extra layer of uncertainty while planning our October 2020 wedding. Surely, by then everything would be back to normal, right? That clearly proved to not be the case. A few months into the pandemic, we made the call to delay our big celebration until 2021. In the meantime, we eloped on our original date and continued planning for our 2021 celebration. By some miracle, all of our vendors were able to accommodate our new date…and then everything came to a halt when we found out that our venue was closing at the end of 2020 as a casualty of the pandemic. With the surge of postponed weddings for 2021, we were skeptical that we would find what we were looking for with a whole weekend experience in our price range. Then, we found Emerald Ridge, a newly opened venue, that shockingly had our 2021 weekend available. From there, everything just fell into place under the guidance of Janice Black.
We are so grateful to all of our vendors who made our wedding go as perfectly as we had always planned. All of the guests who came to our wedding have said that it was a stunning location with the most delicious dinner and dessert. Also, having the venue for the whole weekend made for many special memories with all of our loved ones. Above all else, this entire process really honed what a true partnership is: listening, remaining patient, and making the tough calls together.
