Our dreamy tropical-mountain wedding was the perfect representation of who we are as a couple. We learned early on that we are completely opposite, yet somehow perfect together. Kevin is calm, steady, and easygoing, while I am energetic, ambitious, and talkative. Because we love traveling to warmer destinations, for our wedding vision, we wanted to bring tropical paradise home to the mountains in a uniquely personal way.

One of my favorite childhood memories is cutting dahlias from rows of bold colorful plants on my grandparents’ farm every summer. We lost my grandfather the year before our wedding, so the idea of growing our dahlias on his farm felt like the perfect way to have him “with” us to celebrate the joining of our families.

When the wedding day arrived in August, the dahlias were cut and beautifully blended with an array of bright pink tropical blooms. We enjoyed a peaceful morning at Running Cedar Springs before an intimate ceremony with our favorite people. We danced, laughed, and soaked up every moment of what we can only describe as the best day ever!

Our honeymoon cruise departed from Vancouver and included various Hawaiian islands before our extended stay in Honolulu.

We are thankful for every vendor and friend who made the day unforgettable. The venue exceeded our expectations, and Kristi truly brought our floral vision to life. Most notably, our planner Teresa was the glue that held everything together! She carefully studied and contributed to every detail, and I am forever grateful for her friendship.
