Anna & Levi
JUNE 1, 2024
Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of my wedding day, complete with a Disney Princess dress and McDonald’s catering. Some ideas changed, but not the search for my Prince Charming!
Levi and I met Fall 2021 through a mutual friend. Our connection was magical, as was our wedding day!
The ceremony was special - a southern, classic wedding with white roses, baby’s breath, and the fragrance of rose petals filling Zimmerwald Estate. My grandfather offered the welcome and opening prayer, while my dad walked me down the aisle and then officiated the wedding. The feeling of love and peace was indescribable.
A seven-foot cross, built by Levi and his dad and flowered by my mom, dad, and me, served as a stunning backdrop. During the processional, our mothers placed white roses on the cross, representing family unity and loved ones no longer with us. Levi and I also placed white roses on the cross, symbolizing our union and the Christian foundation of our marriage.
The day was filled with unforgettable firsts: first looks with my dad, grandmothers, and bridesmaids; our first touch before the ceremony to pray together; seeing Levi with our dogs by his side as I walked down the aisle; our first dances; and our first stop as a married couple at a McDonald’s drive-thru in a 1966 Carolina blue Mustang convertible, dogs in tow.
The vows we wrote marked the beginning of a lifetime of promises. June 1, 2024, truly was a dream come true!
