Mollee & Matthew
Matt and I met while we were both attending Western Carolina University. He is two years younger than me. We actually started officially dating two weeks before I graduated in 2016. I got a job teaching and Matt also played baseball, so our relationship was pretty “long distance.”. When Matt graduated he was drafted by the Oakland A’s, and that added even more distance to our relationship. When COVID hit in 2020,his baseball career ended and he moved back to North Carolina. We got engaged on December 11, 2021 and we immediately started planning our wedding. Matt is from Raleigh, and I lived in Rutherford County so we started looking at venues in my area. I had no idea how much went into planning a wedding. My biggest concern was that I wanted everyone to have fun and dance. I really didn’t care about the decorations, flowers or food, but it all turned out great. The reception was so much fun, and all of our vendors were amazing. My aunt, Cheryl Walker was my wedding planner. She did so much to help me. She basically did everything to make our day so special.. It was a day I will never, ever forget!
